Reducing tooling production time
Aerospace IndustryAgemaspark have used 3D additive manufacturing to produce an aerospace engine component that will contain electrics and sensors for monitoring the engine. These were originally produced from machined bar, hollowed out and spark eroded.
By using 3D metal printing techniques, they have been able to reduce the manufacturing time by around 50-60% and accurately include all the internal detailing of the component.
