2 new apprentices have recently joined the team at Agemaspark ready to meet the new challenges the manufacturing industry as a whole will face in a post-Brexit world.
Despite the challenges faced due to the ongoing pandemic, we’re delighted to be able to recruit 2 new apprentices to grow our team. Providing a fresh perspective, the apprentices will be joining the team as Apprentice Toolmakers completing a 3 year AMRC engineering technician course within their role.
With Alex, the new apprentice, coming directly from school, he will first be attending a 32 week course at the AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) in Sheffield, learning the basics of manufacturing and ultimately, giving him the knowledge to kick start his career within the manufacturing sector.
Jay, the second new apprentice will be starting with us straight away, with 1 year already under his belt and the 32 week training course already completed he will be jumping straight into the precision work carried out here at Agemaspark. After being made redundant from his previous role due to the company emigrating to continental Europe, Jay will be an asset to the team with industry knowledge already gained.
